Our much appreciated ethnic tour programme to the lands of the Kanyak Nagas and the Idu Mishmi’s is a special package for those with a penchant for the varied and unique lifestyle and distinct cultures. The breath taking journey to the Mon district of Nagaland (home to the Kanyak Nagas) and to Dibang Valley (where the Idu Mishmi’s live) in Arunachal Pradesh is a bonus. Both the Kanyak Nagas and the Idu Mishmi’s are major tribes of the two states and are rich in their unique cultures and distinct life styles.

Majuli, a serene island formed by the mighty Brahmaputra, is the cultural and spiritual capital of Assam. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Majuli is home to the neo-Vaishnavite Satras and Mising, Deori and Sonowal Kachari tribes.
Sivsagar: The Ahom Kingdom's Legacy
The capital of the mighty Ahom Kingdom from twelfth to eighteenth century, Sivasagar is a unique treasure trove of historical and architectural wonders of Assam. With several majestic artificial ponds in and around the town, Sivasagar is also called the town of ponds. The majestic Talatal Ghar, the grand Rang Ghar, the Kareng Ghar and the sacred Shiva Dol and Vishnu Dol temples are embodiments of the Ahom architecture. One can explore the fascinating history and culture of the Ahom kingdom by a journey through a collection of artefacts and paintings in The Ahom Museum. Sivasagar is two and half hours’ drive from Tinsukia.
